Small Effort Could Curb Trash Problem
* I found the Valley Focus story by Jeff Schnaufer “Merchants Adopting Boulevard Medians,” (Dec. 28) sad.
Sad because of the lack of funds enabling the city to perform the task of maintenance.
I feel there is no excuse for trashing any area. People should pick up after themselves. With this small effort, the cities could handle eroding maintenance at a minimum cost.
I appreciate all the merchants’ efforts to keep streets from unsightly clutter and graffiti. This effort truly reflects an owner’s care and pride in the investment.
I bypass an unkempt area every time. I look for clean surroundings when I shop.
