Donating Blood Is Quick and Easy

I read “Arming Yourself With the Facts About Donating Blood” (Jan. 26), and I want to encourage the community to give the gift of life.

Donating is easy, and taking 20 minutes out of your day could mean saving a life, potentially the life of someone you know.

Local businesses throughout the country could help in this time of crisis by hosting blood drives. I own Designer Donuts in Los Angeles, and we held such an event on Jan. 4. All it takes is a call to the American Red Cross, and they practically do the rest.
