Boston Herald Sold by Murdoch to Publisher

BOSTON — Rupert Murdoch sold the Boston Herald Friday to the newspaper’s publisher for the last decade, Patrick J. Purcell. Terms weren’t disclosed.
The Herald has a daily circulation of 321,715 and a Sunday circulation of 213,985.
The New York Times acquired the city’s other paper, the Boston Globe, last October.
