The Detroit Pistons traded Sean Elliott to the Houston Rockets on Friday for Robert Horry, Matt Bullard and two second-round draft choices.

Elliott has struggled since being traded from San Antonio to Detroit for Dennis Rodman before this season. The fifth-year pro from Arizona started 39 games for the Pistons, averaging 13 points, 4.4 rebounds and three assists.

“Things have been hard here,” Elliott said before the trade. “I wish things were better. I’m not really happy about my situation.”

Elliott, who has been slowed lately by pneumonia, has had only one 20-point game since mid-December.

The 6-foot-10 Horry, who played college ball at Alabama, was Houston’s top draft choice in 1992. He has averaged 28.3 minutes per game this season, scoring 8.6 points and grabbing 5.3 rebounds. He has complained recently about a lack of playing time.

The 6-10 Bullard, who was used by the Rockets as a three-point threat, is averaging 3.9 points and 1.3 rebounds. Bullard was included in the deal so it can work under the NBA salary cap.
