Vanden Ordel, a Fountain Valley High graduate, had the most impressive week in his two-year career when he scored 48 points and added 25 rebounds in two losses for the Rustlers. Vanden Ordel, who is 6 feet 11, had 18 points on six-of-eight shooting from the field and 11 rebounds in a 94-80 loss to Fullerton Wednesday. He then made 12 of 13 shots from the field and finished with a career-high 30 points as Golden West lost to first-place Riverside, 86-79. He is averaging 11 points, eight rebounds and three blocked shots this season.
Other notables:
* Josh Borella, Saddleback, had 25 points, 18 assists, eight rebounds and five steals in two victories for the Gauchos.
* Chauncy Woolridge, Orange Coast, had 57 points, including 34 against Rancho Santiago, and 17 rebounds, but the Pirates lost twice.
