Woodbridge’s Free Throws in Overtime Enough to Upset No. 5 Santa Margarita

IRVINE — Woodbridge’s Todd Semm hit four free throws in overtime Wednesday to lead Woodbridge to a 50-46 victory over Santa Margarita, the fifth-ranked team in the county.
Santa Margarita (15-5, 7-1) trailed late in regulation, but Brad Finneran’s two free throws with five seconds left forced overtime.
Woodbridge (8-11, 2-6) scored all eight overtime points on free throws, including Adam Libby’s two with five seconds left.
