Tailback Brendan Jones of Crescenta Valley High has made an oral commitment to attend Washington, his father said Friday.
Jones (5-feet-11, 175 pounds) rushed for 646 yards and three touchdowns in 96 carries last season to lead the Falcons to an 8-3 record and a second-place finish in the Pacific League at 4-1.
Jones canceled recruiting trips to Cal and Hawaii, Mark Jones said.
