Colorado University Regents Vote to Keep Embattled President

BOULDER, Colo. — University of Colorado President Judith Albino survived an ouster attempt by members of the faculty and administration.
The Board of Regents voted 5-4 late Thursday to keep Albino, but will examine the issue again this summer.
Last week, all eight deans and 70 faculty members signed a petition asking Albino to resign. Among other things, they said she was an ineffective leader who did not consult the faculty and students before making decisions.
Albino, 50, recently persuaded the regents to abolish paid leave for administrators.
