Sales at MCA Records Nearly $450 Million: The company said it set a record last year for gross domestic sales thanks to such artists as Meat Loaf, Wynonna, Vice Gill, Reba McEntire and Shai. The company’s previous record was set in 1992, when gross domestic sales came to nearly $400 million. The company is part of entertainment conglomerate MCA Inc., which is owned by Japan’s Matsushita Electric Industrial.
