In other Orange Empire Conference men’s games:

Riverside 91, Saddleback 78--Host Riverside (16-4, 2-0) went on a 29-9 run to open the second half and led, 71-50, with about 10 minutes left. Derrick Walsh had 18 points, all in the first half, for Saddleback (11-6, 1-1).

Rancho Santiago 101, Golden West 89--Matt Kordik had 25, and Sean Amos added 23 for host Rancho Santiago (14-5, 2-0). Gerald Rhoden had 27 points and nine rebounds for Golden West (7-11, 0-2).

Irvine Valley 93, Fullerton 92--Rashad Wilson scored 30 points for Irvine Valley (14-6, 2-0) at Capistrano Valley High School. It was the second consecutive one-point loss for Fullerton (15-6, 0-2).

In Orange Empire Conference women’s basketball:

Cypress 71, Orange Coast 59--Sara Works and Jennifer Johnson had 16 points each for Cypress. Orange Coast drew to within four with 2:30 left, but Cypress went on a 10-0 run.

Golden West 103, Rancho Santiago 65--Michele Kravik had 19 points to lead the Rustlers to an easy victory. April Van Sweden added 17 points and 18 rebounds for Golden West (20-3, 2-0), ranked No. 2 in the state.

Riverside 72, Saddleback 57--Riverside took advantage of Saddleback foul trouble to pull away late. Amy Feniello had 22 points and nine rebounds for Saddleback.
