Excited by Manilow

This is to give Paul Grein some information about Barry Manilow’s fabulous concert--and it was fabulous (“Could It Be Magic? Yes, If You’re Barry Manilow,” Dec. 29).
I was there on opening night. The woman from the audience who was brought up on stage was not referring to “I Can’t Smile Without You” as being an old, dated song when Manilow asked her if she knew the words and she answered, “I did !”
She was referring to the fact that she was so nervous and excited that she hardly even knew her own name .
