UC Irvine basketball players Zuri Williams and Todd Whitehead, suspended for the last two games because of shoplifting charges, were reinstated Wednesday, the school announced.
Williams, a junior and the starting point guard, and Whitehead, a sophomore guard, were suspended by Anteater Coach Rod Baker following petty theft citations they received Dec. 13 at South Coast Plaza.
Both players are eligible for Saturday night’s game against Cal State Northridge at UCI. They sat out the Anteaters’ victories over Iowa and Cal State Fullerton.
