Toys R Us Announces Management Changes: Toys R Us said that Vice Chairman Michael Goldstein will become its chief executive and Robert C. Nakasone will become president and chief operating officer effective Feb. 1. The two men succeed Charles Lazarus, who will retain his position as chairman and head of the company’s executive committee. Lazarus founded the giant toy retailer with one store in 1957. The move will allow the 70-year-old Lazarus more time to work on merchandising, make visits to individual stores and oversee the chain’s expansion abroad, Goldstein said.
