Atascadero 21, Paso Robles 12--In the Division IX title game, Atascadero held Paso Robles scoreless in the second half at War Memorial Stadium in Paso Robles to win its fourth Southern Section title.
Atascadero (13-1), which lost to Paso Robles on the same field four weeks ago, won with a ball-control offense. The Greyhounds rushed for 167 yards, 123 by senior tailback Jasch Janowicz.
Atascadero scored all three of its touchdowns on the ground, one by Janowicz, one on a one-yard run by quarterback Andrew McCrory and one on a three-yard run by fullback Mike Kern.
Paso Robles’ junior fullback, Kevin Hill, rushed for 142 yards in 11 carries and scored two touchdowns. Paso Robles finished 12-2.
