Dallas 6, Edmonton 5--Dave Gagner scored at 2:26 of overtime for the victory at Edmonton.
The Oilers, who have lost 13 games by two goals or less, twice fought back from two-goal deficits to force overtime.
Vancouver 2, Chicago 1--Dixon Ward scored 15 seconds into overtime to give the Canucks the victory at Vancouver.
Hartford 4, Ottawa 2--Bryan Marchment scored the go-ahead goal early in the third period at Ottawa.
