WESTMINSTER : Woman Run Over in Parking Lot, Killed
A 60-year-old woman was killed Monday when hit by a backing car in the lot of a small shopping center, police said.
Hin Nguyen of Santa Ana was walking by the Bolsa Supermarket in the 9500 block of Bolsa Avenue when the car began backing from one of the parking spaces, according to Lt. Bill Lewis.
Nguyen was struck by the car’s rear bumper and knocked to the ground. The driver, a 23-year-old Santa Ana woman, apparently did not know she had hit someone and continued backing over her, Lewis said.
Nguyen died at the scene.
Police said that the driver hadn’t been cited but that the investigation was continuing.
