Booth Wins to Advance in Golf Tournament
TUCSON — Kellee Booth of Coto de Caza won twice Saturday to advance to the semifinals of the 16th Rolex Junior Classic at the La Paloma Country Club.
Booth, the 1993 U.S. Golf Assn. junior champion, defeated Betty Chen of La Quinta, 2 and 1, and Stephanie Keever of Las Vegas, 1-up, to set up a match today with Atlanta’s Wendi Patterson. The winner will play either top-seeded Kelli Kuehne of McKinney, Tex., or Grace Park of Phoenix in the final.
The tournament is the final of the American Junior Golf Assn. season.
