Bank Robber Sentenced to Prison for 1992 Heists
TUJUNGA — A 29-year-old Tujunga man has been sentenced to more than six years in prison for holding up three banks in Santa Clarita and Palmdale in 1992, the FBI announced Friday.
Joseph Anaya was sentenced Tuesday in U.S. District Court in Los Angeles, said FBI spokesman Gary Auer.
Anaya had pleaded guilty to robberies that were committed at Bank of America and Citibank branches on Soledad Canyon Road in Canyon Country in July, 1992, and at a Bank of America on East Palmdale Boulevard in September, 1992.
Anaya was sentenced to six years and five months in prison, followed by a three-year supervised release program, Auer said.
