Highlights
Santa Margarita won the league championship, losing games only to Tustin and Newport Harbor. The Eagles were led by league MVP Adam Dzierzynski, who averaged 9.2 assists, fourth best in the county. The Eagles defeated Cathedral City and Sonora to advance to the Southern Section Division III semifinals, where they lost to Inglewood Morningside. . . . Corona del Mar won the Division IV-AA championship, defeating Hemet West, Long Beach St. Anthony’s and Banning before knocking off Playa del Rey St. Bernard in the final, 69-68. . . . University’s Demitrius Zeigler won the league and county scoring titles, averaging 27.3 points.
