A federal judge in Washington dismissed a lawsuit filed in February in which American Telephone & Telegraph Co. accused rival Sprint Corp. of secretly negotiating long-distance rates with some customers. . . . Readington Township, N.J.-based Merck & Co. announced the completion of its previously announced $6-billion acquisition of prescription drug distributor Medco Containment Services, which is headquartered in Montvale, N.J.
