WEEKEND TV : The Waltons Celebrate Thanksgiving
The subjects for the weekend’s viewing fare are Thanksgiving, roses and remembering J.F.K. On CBS Sunday at 9 p.m., “A Walton Thanksgiving Reunion” will feature most of the original cast of the Emmy-winning series that ran from 1972-81. The TV movie picks up in 1963 and the family must deal with the assassination of President Kennedy as they gather for the holiday at their Virginia home.
And a berth in the Rose Bowl on New Year’s Day is at stake when UCLA plays USC in football today at 12:30 p.m. on ABC, 9 p.m. on Prime Ticket.
