CARSON : Woman Is Found Shot to Death in Intersection
A woman was found dead Tuesday on a Carson street in what authorities believe was a murder intended to look like a hit-and-run accident.
The body of a woman in her early 20s was found at the intersection of Del Amo Boulevard and Santa Fe Avenue at 3:30 a.m. by a security guard, said California Highway Patrol Officer Art Aclarol.
Officers at first thought the woman, whose legs were broken, had been hit by a vehicle. But the coroner later extracted at least one bullet from her body, Aclarol said. The cause of death has not been determined.
The name of the woman was withheld pending notification of family members.
