British Aerospace ‘Outsourcing’ Computer Operations: The company said it is negotiating a 10-year contract with Computer Sciences Corp., its “preferred supplier” of information services. Under the proposed agreement, the British defense and aerospace giant would pay an estimated $112 million to the El Segundo-based computer services company for its information technology resources, including facilities, equipment and software. In addition, about 1,250 members of British Aerospace’s information technology staff would be transferred to Computer Sciences. Annual revenue from the contract, about $120 million, would make it the largest “outsourcing” contract ever awarded a single supplier in Europe.
