Camera Platforms International Inc., a Valencia maker and renter of equipment for the television and motion picture industries, said its third-quarter loss widened to $410,000, from $116,000 a year earlier.
For the quarter ended Sept. 30, sales dropped 15% to $1.16 million, from $1.37 million in the third quarter a year ago. The company attributed the sales drop to a large lease termination payment a year ago that inflated results for that quarter.
For the nine-month period, Camera Platforms reported a loss of $1.3 million, compared with a loss of $484,000 in the same period a year earlier. Revenue fell 26% to $2.41 million, from $3.25 million.
