Searchers found the body of the last of five rail workers killed when two freight trains collided, blocking rail traffic between Seattle and Portland, Ore. The Burlington Northern and Union Pacific trains smashed into each other and exploded in flames just south of Longview, Wash. The collision left eight locomotives stacked on top of each other and sent freight cars and shipping containers spewing onto nearby Interstate 5. Burlington Northern officials indicated it could take several days to clear the tracks. National Transportation Safety Board spokesman Brent Bailor said “event recorders” had been recovered from four of the eight locomotives.
