Rain Misses Area as Storm Blows West

A coastal storm system that was expected to bring light showers to Ventura County on Friday instead veered west and dropped its precipitation over the Pacific, a National Weather Service meteorologist said Friday.
“As far as Ventura County, we don’t expect to have any rain,” meteorologist Gerry Shultz said.
“About the worst we’ll get Friday night is a stiff breeze,” he said.
The area is expected to remain dry at least through Tuesday, Shultz said. Temperatures are expected to dip into the low 50s Friday and Saturday night, with the high Saturday in the upper 60s, he said.
Sunday will be slightly warmer, with highs in the mid-70s, Shultz said.
