Jones Steps Forward to Lead Crimson

Junior forward Wyking Jones led all scorers with 26 points and had eight rebounds Thursday night to lead the Crimson over the Gray, 84-71, in Loyola Marymount’s intrasquad basketball game at Gersten Pavilion.

Jones, a former St. Bernard High standout, made 13 of 18 shots. Forward Ime Odouk, a 6-foot-9 sophomore from Nigeria, scored 16 points on seven-for-seven shooting and had a game-high 11 rebounds, and freshman point guard Jimmy Williamson (South Torrance) had six points and a game-high eight rebounds for the Crimson.
