Compton : Robert Robbins, Husband of Councilwoman, Dies
Robert R. Robbins, husband of Councilwoman Jane D. Robbins, died late Monday after a long fight with cancer. He was 76.
Robbins was an 18-year veteran of Compton’s police force and longtime resident of the city. Tuesday’s City Council meeting was canceled because of his death.
A memorial is scheduled for Nov. 19 in the Compton Ramada’s Glade Ballroom from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
