PREP ROUNDUP : Liberty Christian Reaches Eight-Man Playoffs

Liberty Christian needed to win its final game to advance to the eight-man football playoffs and achieved its goal Saturday as quarterback Carl Warmack threw for 188 yards and four touchdowns in a 38-28 victory over Lone Pine.
Bob McClung caught two touchdown passes and led Liberty Christian (4-3) with 113 yards rushing.
In Olympic League football:
Ontario Christian 34, Whittier Christian 7--Whittier Christian remained winless, falling to 0-8-1 and 0-4 in league play in the game at Whittier College.
In nonleague football:
Southern California Christian 49, Twin Pines 0--Southern California Christian improved to 6-2 with the victory at Cerritos College.
In nonleague boys’ water polo:
Esperanza 10, Servite 7--Ian Ching scored six goals to lead Esperanza (10-10). Goalie Peter Lange had 18 saves for the Aztecs. Brian Heiffren scored four goals for Servite.
