LYNWOOD — St. Francis Medical Center and Aunts and Uncles Inc., with help from RLA (formerly Rebuild L.A.), plan to distribute more than 20,000 pairs of shoes to needy families to help children stay in school.
To receive shoes from the Footprints program at St. Francis, a family must be referred by a school, church or social agency. A $5 fee from each family goes to Aunts and Uncles Inc., a nonprofit organization that helps underprivileged children.
