Van Nuys 34, Birmingham 19--Running back Larry Reed gained 164 yards in 28 carries and scored on runs of five and one yard to lead the visiting Wolves.
After falling behind, 7-0, Van Nuys (7-2, 5-1) scored 27 unanswered points and forced three turnovers. Quarterback Chris Byfield completed six of 12 passes for 111 yards and gave the Wolves their first lead of the game, 14-7, on a 10-yard scoring strike to Hubert Kim in the second quarter.
For Birmingham (3-5-1, 1-4-1), Courtney Blunt gained 81 yards in 13 carries and scored twice.
