Technology Agreement: Rockwell International Corp. said Monday it has signed a license agreement in which it will use another company’s wireless data technology for the chips it makes for portable modems.
Spectrum Information Technologies Inc. in Dallas will let Rockwell’s telecommunications group in Newport Beach use the technology that makes it possible to transmit data over cellular phone networks. Rockwell’s family of modem chip sets using the technology will be available early next year.
