Motorola Names Interim Successors to Departing Chief: Motorola Inc. said it will fill its top job, made vacant by Chairman and Chief Executive George Fisher’s upcoming move to take the helm of Eastman Kodak Co., from within the company. The electronics and communications giant said its board affirmed William Weisz, vice chairman, as the company’s acting chairman. Gary Tooker, president and chief operating officer, was designated acting chief executive officer. Analysts said Tooker and Galvin, part of the company’s three-member chief executive’s office, were the most likely candidates for the CEO post.
