Mt. SAC Invitational Begins This Afternoon
More than 360 schools and 5,000 athletes will compete in the two-day Mt. San Antonio Invitational cross-country meet, which begins at 2:15 p.m. today and at 7:30 a.m. Saturday.
This afternoon’s competition will showcase teams competing in Divisions III and IV--schools with enrollments of less than 1,000. Saturday features larger schools.
The four highlighted races, the boys’ and girls’ individual and team sweepstakes, begin at 9:11 a.m. Saturday and continue through 10:30.
Katella will be the lone Orange County representative in the boys’ team sweepstakes competition, but five area girls’ teams will compete in the team sweepstakes. Canyon, Capistrano Valley, Corona del Mar, Edison and El Toro will battle some of the nation’s finest teams.
