PACOIMA : Body of Man Found After Trailer Blaze

Los Angeles city firefighters found the body of a 51-year-old man after putting out a fire in a mobile home in Pacoima early Wednesday morning.
Robert T. Conte, who lived alone at a mobile home park at 12600 Van Nuys Blvd., was found in burned-out trailer, said Fire Department spokesman Gary Jenkins. It was not immediately clear if Conte was killed in the fire or if he was already dead when the fire broke out, Jenkins said.
The fire was reported at 12:52 a.m. and firefighters had the flames out 11 minutes later, Jenkins said. The cause of the fire is under investigation. Jenkins estimated damage at $20,000 to the structure and $10,000 to the contents.
