Glendale 27, Burbank 0--Senior running backs Neal Sowter and Jay Register combined to lead the host Dynamiters (4-1). Sowter scored on runs of six and three yards and also caught a six-yard touchdown pass from Ramon Jose with 1:02 left in the first half. Register accumulated 238 all-purpose yards and was on the receiving end of a 60-yard touchdown pass from Jose with 1:37 left in the first quarter.
Despite the lopsided score, Burbank (1-4) was bolstered by strong individual defensive efforts. Carlos Baker intercepted a pass early in the fourth quarter on the Burbank one-yard line and also blocked a 37-yard field-goal attempt in the second quarter. Pete Cossack and Owen Meyers both recorded sacks and Jason Parr blocked an extra-point attempt.
