Troops in Somalia
How is it possible for America, in its role as the world’s meddlesome top cop, to send troops to Somalia to disarm those carrying guns while it fails to do something similar about the urgent problems of violence back home?
I can tell a contradiction when I see one. The United States makes me think of a watchdog that barks at every passerby on the street but ignores the thieves who are robbing the house behind its back!

* My 19-year-old son, who is stationed at Ft. Lewis, Wash., will soon leave for his second tour of duty in Somalia. Participation in this war is less meritorious than the Vietnam War in which Bill Clinton refused to serve. Clinton is now covering his draft-dodger tracks by being tough at the risk of other people’s lives. I hold Clinton personally responsible for all Somalia casualties because there is no national interest at stake; it is 100% political. For shame!
