SANTA ANA — Olujimi Mann, a standout basketball player at Mater Dei, has left the school, according to Monarch Coach Gary McKnight.
McKnight said Mann left because of financial reasons.
Mann, a 6-foot-4 sophomore point guard, is considered one of the top underclassmen in Southern California. He was expected to be the Monarchs’ starting point guard this season.
He was a backup to Kamran Sufi but played a lot. Mann had 10 points and five assists in the Monarchs’ victory over Hanford in the Southern California Regional semifinal.
