ANAHEIM : Senior Center Offers Free Sessions, Clinics

The Anaheim Senior Services Center has scheduled several free medical screenings and counseling sessions this month.
Services at the center, at 280 E. Lincoln Ave., are open to Anaheim residents who are 55 and over. For information or to make appointments for most services, call (714) 778-6116.
Complete health screenings by a registered nurse are available Wednesdays by appointment. To make an appointment for this service only, call (714) 776-2090.
Blood pressure checks will be done 9 a.m. to noon Thursdays. No appointment is necessary.
Medicare counseling will be available by appointment from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday and Oct. 14 and 21.
A clinic on how to protect your assets in case of illness is scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday.
Hearing tests will be available Friday by appointment.
A podiatry clinic will be held at 3 p.m. Oct. 15 by appointment.
A seminar, “Tell Me Where It Hurts,” on dealing with doctors, is scheduled for 10 a.m. Oct. 18 and 25.
A support group for people with arthritis will begin monthly meetings at 10:30 a.m. Oct. 28.
A legal clinic is scheduled for Oct. 28 by appointment.
