After three weeks of nonleague football action, players’ chin straps will likely be tightened an extra notch tonight when play begins in the Garden Grove and Sea View leagues and Friday night in the Sunset League. Play is expected to be especially intense in the Sea View, where three of eight teams (Irvine, Newport Harbor, Santa Margarita) are ranked in this week’s Orange County Top-10 poll and five (those three plus Woodbridge and Tustin) are ranked in the Top 10 of the Southern Section Division IV’s poll. Only three teams from each league are guaranteed spots in the playoffs . . .
