San Diego State quarterback David Lowery has a broken right leg and will be sidelined at least three weeks.
Junior Tim Gutierrez, who rallied the Aztecs to 24 consecutive points during a 38-31 victory at Air Force Saturday, will start Saturday night against Minnesota at San Diego Jack Murphy Stadium.

Penn State quarterback John Sacca, unhappy after being benched during Penn State’s 31-0 victory over Iowa on Saturday, indicated he might transfer.
“I just don’t think I’ve gotten the proper respect I deserve here,” Sacca said.
