OUTLOOK: Turek has a balanced squad that could improve on its third-place finish last season. Blume, an all-league linebacker last season, returns with seven other starters to give Troy a more experienced and improved defense to go with Logan and the wing-T offense. Viera, the 210-pound, all-league guard, is one of Troy’s biggest linemen, but the Warriors’ lack of size doesn’t concern Turek. “A few years ago, I almost always had Division-I linemen recruited out of Troy,” Turek said. “But in the last three to four years, we’ve had a lot of munchkins and twerps. But we get by.” Troy could meet Sunny Hills for the league title in the season finale, Nov. 12.
