Some Ketchup With Your Lumber?
ATLANTA — How about a burger and fries with that batch of lumber?
Home Depot said it plans to offer food service on a test basis at stores in four markets. The home improvement retailer will not operate the food businesses, called Depot Diners, but will offer them through joint ventures with companies such as McDonald’s and Morrisons Hospitality Group.
“The primary objective of the Depot Diners is to provide an extra convenience for our customers and employees,” said Home Depot Chairman Bernard Marcus.
The initial testing will be done in 16 stores in Atlanta, Los Angeles, New York and south Florida.
