The results compared to a profit of $175,000, or 2 cents a share, for the same period a year earlier, when the company had extraordinary income of $39,000. Sales for the quarter ended June 30 declined 15% to $9.4 million from $11.1 million. For the nine-month period, profit totaled $431,000, or 4 cents a share, including an extraordinary gain of $675,000. For the same period a year earlier, profit was $384,000, or 3 cents share, with extraordinary income of $115,000. Nine-month sales were down 7% to $32.5 million from $35 million.
