Man, 61, Found Dead With Head Wound
SANTA ANA HEIGHTS — A 61-year-old man was found dead by his roommate Wednesday about 5:45 p.m., and sheriff’s deputies said the death was being investigated because of “suspicious circumstances.”
Deputies would not elaborate.
The man, whose body was found inside a one-story home in the 300 block of 22nd Street, was not immediately identified. Sheriff’s deputies also did not identify the roommate who discovered the body.
According to Lt. Dick Olson, the victim apparently died of a wound to the head. Olson said the exact cause of death will not be known until an autopsy today.
The home where the body was found is in an upscale neighborhood in an unincorporated area of the county bordering Newport Beach.
