A 14-year old boy was shot to death on a Lynwood street Wednesday night in what sheriff’s deputies said was a “probable gang-related shooting.”
The boy, whose identity was not disclosed, was shot in the 11100 block of Franklin Street and died at St. Francis Medical Center in Lynwood.
There were no suspects in custody, said Deputy Benita Hinojos.
The killing was the second gang incident in Lynwood in two hours. Earlier, three football players were stabbed and a fourth was wounded in a gang-related incident at Lynwood High School.
A resident of Franklin Street, who asked not to be identified, said, “There’s a gang up the street, and there’s always some shooting going on out there.”
