Glendale : Prizes for Scavenger Hunt
A free night on the town at local restaurants and theaters will be awarded to six winners of a scavenger hunt in Uptown Glendale today, featured as the fourth in a series of Stroll the Boulevard events sponsored by merchants.
Twelve clues to the scavenger hunt are published in the Glendale section today and will be handed out by participating merchants and at restaurants along Brand Boulevard beginning at 10 a.m.
The hunt, from 5 to 8:30 p.m. today, is designed to encourage participants to wander into shops and browse, said Janet Hawkins, an advertising consultant coordinating the five-week Stroll the Boulevard promotional campaign.
Activities will include free entertainment from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. by the Jean Frye Quintet jazz band in the City Center Patio, 100 N. Brand Blvd. Other combos will play in the 300 and 400 blocks of North Brand Boulevard.
