Firms Appoint Former Reagan Speech Writer, Bush Aide
Kenneth L. Khachigian has been appointed “of counsel” to and will oversee the new San Clemente office of the PBN Co. of California and R&R; Advertising of Nevada and Utah, a marketing, communications and political consulting partnership. Khachigian. a practicing attorney, was formerly a speech writer for President Reagan. He was a senior adviser, media consultant and strategist for the Reagan-Bush and Bush-Quayle presidential campaigns, and played similar roles in the elections of George Deukmejian and Pete Wilson as governor.
* Dave McKenzie has been appointed vice president of service and customer satisfaction for Mitsubishi Motor Sales of America Inc. in Cypress. He succeeds Thomas C. Benson, who is retiring after almost 12 years with the company. Before the appointment, McKenzie was director of service and customer satisfaction.
* Donald W. Wise has been promoted to a vice president of CB Commercial Real Estate Group. Wise, located in the Anaheim office, has been with the firm for 13 years, and focuses on lodging properties.
* Robert J. Gardner has been appointed president of Abbey Pharmaceutical Services Inc. in Chicago, a majority-owned subsidiary of Abbey Healthcare Group in Costa Mesa. He was formerly Western area vice president. Gardner succeeds Timothy L. Burfield, who resigned as president and chief executive.
* Jeffrey Miller has been appointed principal in charge of interior design for LPA Inc.’s Irvine office. He had served as director of interiors for the architecture, planning and interior design firm since 1989.
