Fire Destroys School Bungalow in Reseda
Fire destroyed a bungalow at an elementary school in Reseda this weekend, causing more than $30,000 in property and structural damage, said a Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman.
Firefighters arrived Saturday morning at Cantara Street Elementary School in the 17900 block of Cantara Street and found one room in the bungalow engulfed in flames, said Brian Humphrey, a department spokesman.
It took 30 minutes to extinguish the blaze, which is still under investigation, he said. Humphrey said the cause of the fire could be determined this week.
