Woman Found Shot to Death

A Van Nuys woman was found dead in her home Monday afternoon with two gunshot wounds in her chest, Los Angeles police said.
Delores Diaz, in her 30s, was found by police who had been summoned to the 6200 block of Cedros Avenue by a suspicious neighbor, Detective Robert Cosley said.
“Just about all we know at this time is that late Sunday or early Monday morning she was shot, probably right there,” Cosley said. The body was found, he said, in the bedroom of her home, which was not ransacked.
Robbery did not seem to be the motive. “It appeared that nothing had been taken,” Cosley said.
He said the police had no suspects at this time and are not aware of any relatives she may have had in the area.
